Baking for leisure doesn't exist for me anymore. It has become my career. I AM the chief baker.
As you know, we were invited to be one of the few food vendors within a showroom of 300 local LA artists, designers, and crafters. So with my sassy crew of bakers and creative designers, we took the Scootabaker show to the peeps of Los Angeles and had a hell of a fun time.
Our booth was bitchin', screaming yellow, and smelling of sweet confections. Our 6 person Scoota-crew jammed for 8 hours both show days, selling treats, posing for press on the Scoota-hog, and curating an atmosphere of merrymaking. Our "Legendary Cupcake Happy Hour" was significantly the best hour of the day. Our booth neighbors probably hated us by the 10 minute mark, but it didn't stop us from hollering for people to buy "$1 Cupcakes!" It really worked. You should have seen the line it created.
Unique LA was an insane success for The Scootabaker. With all the new friends made, I'm eager to make more!
I plan, with all my might to be back at Unique LA for the Spring show. Then, you must visit and see what all the commotion is really about!
Thank you LA. You are my home!
