Sometimes you just wanna look at pretty photos of cupcakes.
This little devil in disguise is a beautiful amalgamation of Chocolate, Cinnamon, and Spiced Rum! Chocolate, Cinnamon, and Spiced Rum make the cake, the addition of Cinnamon to the Chocolate buttercream makes it even spicier, and it's topped with homemade Chocolate Curls.
A quick way to make Chocolate Curls: melt 4 ounces chocolate chips, spread on the bottom side of a baking sheet with a pastry brush, and chill for 3-5 minutes or until firm but not hard (if too firm, leave out for a minute to soften). Using the flat edge of a flexible knife or cupcake spatula, firmly scrape against the chocolate to create a curl. If chocolate curls crack, allow chocolate to warm slightly before trying again. You may need to chill after several curls if chocolate begins to warm. Keep curls chilled before serving.
This drunken cupcake is becoming a summer favorite amongst Scootabaker patrons!
Instructions: Cupcake must be served with Rum on ice! Fluid ounces vary depending upon desired level of inebriation.

Xialou- you'd be amazed at all the desserts you can add rum to!

Rum on ice - What a fabulous idea :) You're my kinda girl.
Leave it to you, Heather, to come up with such a groovy new cupcake concoction. What a trio--chocolate, rum, and cinnamon. "Yum" pretty much sums it up!
Your chocolate curls are pro! I tried to make mine for a pie a few weeks ago and got a few good ones, but they mostly all cracked :-(
